In just two more weeks, the 2011 CMA Awards will be broadcast live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena. The awards will feature many highly-anticipated performances from the best of the best in country music, including the reigning Vocal Group of the Year winners, Lady Antebellum.

"We always just try to focus on the song that we’re performing that night," Lady A's Charles Kelley tells Taste of Country of gearing up for the special event. "We are very excited about the nomination."

This year, Lady Antebellum are nominated once again in the Vocal Group of the Year category, up against some pretty tough competition. "A lot of the other groups have had such great years," notes Kelley. "The Band Perry, Zac Brown Band, Rascal Flatts, [Little Big Town] … I just want to go and try to have a good time with it and focus on the music."

Kelley says he enjoys attending and performing at the CMAs, and the other country format award shows, because it's somewhat of a family reunion. "With the country awards, it’s always fun because you get to see your friends," he explains. "I’m usually a little more at home at country awards than I am at the other ones that are all genres."

The CMAs will air live at 8PM ET on Wednesday, Nov. 9 on ABC.
