Lady Antebellum topped some hot country competition to win the 2011 Teen Choice Awards' Choice Music: Country Group award Sunday night in Los Angeles. The trio beat out Rascal Flatts, Steel Magnolia, the Band Perry and Little Big Town for the surfboard-sized trophy.

Like Keith Urban's win for Choice Music: Male Country Artist, Lady Antebellum's victory wasn't announced until long after after the awards show finished. The band hasn't responded to their win; one wonders if they'll each be getting the colorful surfboard trophy, or if they'll be forced to fight for it. One also wonders how the surfing is in Nashville?

Taylor Swift was the lone country representative at the Teen Choice Awards, and her participation was rewarded with wins in five of the six categories she was nominated for. Swift was also honored with the Ultimate Choice award, given only when an artist or actor is deemed to be truly deserving. Britney Spears was the last musical artist to collect that honor in 2009.
