Lady Antebellum's road to mainstream acceptance appears to be complete, after the trio captured the prestigious Song of the Year category tonight at the 2011 Grammy Awards.

"This past year has completely changed our lives," an emotional Hillary Scott told the audience as she accepted the songwriting award with her bandmates and Josh Kear, who penned the track together.

'Need You Now' upended some of the year's biggest songs of all genres, including Miranda Lambert's 'The House That Built Me,' Eminem and Rihanna's 'Love the Way You Lie,' Cee-Lo Green's 'F---- You' and Ray LaMontagne's 'Beg, Steal or Borrow.'

Song of the Year was the fourth Grammy of the evening for Lady A, who also collected awards for Best Country Album, Best Country Performance for a Duo or Group With Vocal and Best Country Song.
