"Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?... Lady Antebellum!"

All right, so that's not how the original Spongebob Squarepants tune goes, but wouldn't it be cool if it did? The beloved yellow sponge is making his way from the television to the theater, and Lady Antebellum will contribute to the project!

Although you won't see this country trio dressed up as characters from Bikini Bottom for the stage, you will hear a song of theirs in the upcoming production of The Spongebob Musical. Last year, two Lady A tunes were featured in Nicholas Sparks' novel-turned-film, The Best of Me, and now a Broadway show!

Other artists on board to lend music to The Spongebob Musical include Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, John Legend, David Bowie, Cyndi Lauper, the Flaming Lips and more. Tina Landau is slated to write and direct the live adaptation of the popular children's show, and Nickelodeon will produce.

The production will debut next summer at Chicago's Oriental Theater before heading to the Big Apple for the 2016/2017 Broadway season. Tickets will be available for purchase next month.
