Lauren Alaina appeared at the Boston Red Sox game on Friday to show her support with a jaw-dropping performance of the national anthem, while her 'Idol' mate Scotty McCreery tagged along to show his support for her -- and enjoy a little baseball.

"So excited about singing at the red sox game tonight! Spending the day with @Kristytara @PToscanoAI10 my girls<3," Alaina tweeted Friday, making mention of her mom, Krysta, and fellow 'American Idol' finalist Pia Toscano.

Like a true friend, McCreery attended the Red Sox vs. Texas Rangers baseball game to support Alaina, but like a true sports fan, he spent his time tweeting about what was happening on the field. "View from the GREEN MONSTER in Fenway Park! Are you kidding me?!?!?!!" he posted, also sharing that he got to meet Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton. "We talked about the Garner vs Athens Drive football game and @IamSecond," McCreery revealed, along with a photo of a signed baseball.

Even though the 'I Love You This Big' hitmaker didn't mention Lauren Alaina on his Twitter page, we know was rooting for her, as well as the home team. And all that matters is that the 'Like My Mother Does' singer enjoyed herself -- which she did. She tweeted later, "Had an absolute blast at the game tonight! It was such an amazing experience."
