If it takes a strong woman to age gracefully, then LeAnn Rimes is on par to grow older with the best of them. The country star turns 30 years old today, August 28, 2012, and while the big 3-0 puts some celebs into a tailspin, Rimes says that she is ecstatic to leave her 20s behind.

Though technically today is her birthday, the 'Blue' hitmaker celebrated her birthday with a party for close friends and family in Laguna Beach, Calif. last week. The theme of her party wasn't exactly typical, though -- it was called a 'Die, 20s, Die!' party.

"I've been ready to leave my 20s behind," Rimes told People. "I had so many amazing things happen in my 20s, and I also had a lot of hard lessons to learn."

Of course, Rimes' husband, actor Eddie Cibrian, was on hand to make sure that his wife had the perfect party. He gave her a sweet kiss as she blew out the candles on her cake -- which was topped with a replica of the country singer in a bikini, standing on top of a coffin which represented her 20s.

The cake topper was a joke about Rimes wearing a bikini at the beach, which has caught the attention of paparazzi many times over. "It's funny that people have this obsession with me in a bikini," she musded. "I'm on the beach. What am I supposed to wear?"

"I grew up with chronic psoriasis my whole life and the last six years is the first time I've actually been super healthy: my skin is clear, I'm taking care of myself, and since I'm turning 30, between psoriasis and my [bottom] sagging, I only have a few more years to do it so I might as well wear one," she added with a laugh.

Maybe part of the reason why Rimes was so excited about ringing in her 30th birthday was the awesome birthday gift from her hubby. Cibrian handed Rimes a gold and diamond Cartier love bracelet that the 'Give' hitmaker had been eying for a while.

"I've always wanted one. I cried so hard when he gave it to me," Rimes said. "He's always so thoughtful."

Rimes will kick off year 30 by releasing her new album, 'Spitfire,' and embarking on a tour this fall.
