LeAnn Rimes’ Ex-Husband Recalls Finding Out She Cheated

LeAnn Rimes' ex-husband, Dean Sheremet, is finally opening up about how he found she'd cheated on him with actor Eddie Cibrian. It happened just before the world found out.

Rimes called and told him that a magazine "may or may not have a picture of me and Eddie kissing."

Sheremet, who has since remarried and is a chef in addition to working with Michelle Obama on her anti-obesity campaign, talks comfortably about the incident during a sit-down on 'Access Hollywood Live.' He says he holds no animosity toward Rimes, and showed no signs of bitterness as he spoke.

"It's part of my story and it's the reason that I get to do awesome cooking segments," Sheremet says when asked if he gets sick of talking about the 2010 divorce.

He never saw any signs of an affair. As far as he knew, things were going well between him and his wife of seven years. "You have that assumption that the person that you're with would never do something like that," he shares.

Everything exploded after US Weekly revealed the pics of Rimes and Cibrian. "The harder part was seeing it played out in the media," Sheremet adds. "My mom's going to the supermarket and it's got me and LeAnn and all this controversy."

As for his current wife Sarah Silver, they met a year after the divorce. Both were waiting to catch a plane when they struck up a conversation. Looking back, Sheremet says he sees he was not getting what he needed out of his relationship with Rimes. These days, they rarely talk -- mostly because there's not much to talk about. He was surprised to see that a song he co-wrote with her ended up on her recent 'Spitfire' album. 'God Takes Care of Your Kind' was a song they'd written together several years earlier.
