LeAnn Rimes Sings Virtual Christmas Duet With Talented Fan [Watch]

It’s well known that LeAnn Rimes is talented, but who knew her fans had skills, too? The artist decided to post a video of herself singing a Christmas tune on the Sing! app, which allows fans to submit videos and sing along with her simultaneously. One fan in particular has even impressed Rimes herself.

The submissions are part of a contest Rimes is holding to win a trip to one of her shows, and it looks like this young lady is well on her way to being one of the top contenders. Rimes chose to sing a medley of "Holly Jolly Christmas" and "Frosty the Snowman" for the clip, which she adds some holiday cheer to with her charming smile and even a few motions here and there. The girl chimes in with a powerful, soulful voice and keeps up with Rimes effortlessly, adding harmonies to Rimes’ melodies at times and taking her turns with impressive skill.

Rimes posted the video on her Facebook page, noting how much she loved it.

Rimes recently released a new full-length Christmas album titled Today Is Christmas, featuring two originals co-written by the singer. She says her new material is reflective of the growth she’s experienced as an artist.

“I’ve grown up,” she admits. “I think I’m just at a different point in my life with a different sound. It’s kind of a soulful, earthier kind of sound but it’s also we throw it back with a bunch of horns … It’s a really cool record. The last year I came out with an EP of Christmas songs and this year we decided to record a full record.”
