LeAnn Rimes Sets Off Fire Alarm During Airplane Flight

LeAnn Rimes sure got the attention of the other passengers on a flight into Los Angeles on Friday (May 1).

The singer accidentally set off the fire alarm in the airplane bathroom during the flight. She humorously shared the news via social media.

“Leave it up to me to set off the fire alarm in the airplane bathroom w/ @theDrybar dry shampoo,” she tweeted, adding, “#purecomedy #firsttimeforeverything.”

A reporter for TMZ was waiting for Rimes at the airport when she landed, and she explained that she set the alarm off while trying to spray her hair with the dry shampoo, which is an aerosol product. He asked her what happened after the alarm went off.

"Nothing," she replied with a laugh. "Thank god. I put my head out and said, 'It's nothing.' It was pretty funny, actually."

Asked if she thought her fellow passengers thought their lives were in danger when the alarm started sounding in mid-flight, Rimes laughed it off. "I don't think I would go that far," she said.

Rimes is used to causing a stir everywhere she goes. She and her husband, actor Eddie Cibrian, have been the subject of enormous tabloid coverage since they wed in 2011 after meeting on the set of a Lifetime movie while they were both still married to other people. Their life together was the subject of a reality TV show, LeAnn & Eddie, on VH1, which followed the couple through their personal and professional challenges. That show was canceled in January after one season.
