LeAnn Rimes has gone through so much in the past few years, especially after her very public affair with now-husband Eddie Cibrian. However, the singer has sought help in rebuilding her life, and she's ready for the next step -- kids of her own.

Rimes already has two step-children, Mason (9), and Jake (6), who live with the couple part-time. However, the 30-year-old singer is definitely open to expanding her young family, as she confessed to People. "We have a lot on our plates," says the singer, adding, "But whenever I talk about kids, I'm like, 'Let's have one!' I have a lot of work to do now but I'm totally ready if it happens."

Rimes, whose new album 'Spitfire' will hit stores June 4, is realistic about the future. "It took my mom 12 years to have me. I hope I don't have that [issue] but if I do, then a surrogate is something I've thought about," she says. "Eddie and I have also talked about adopting. My capacity to love a child doesn't stop at my own eggs, obviously!"

Her openness to kids and the future is a breath of fresh air in Rimes' life, as she was feeling pretty bleak for a while. "I felt like my life was falling apart," she reveals. "But now I feel settled. I'm proud of our great family. Eddie is an amazing father and I love my stepsons."
