Country star LeAnn Rimes has completed recording her upcoming album, 'Spitfire.' The singer shared the good news with her fans in a series of Twitter posts on Wednesday (July 18).

"An hr away from my album being finished. So surreal," Rimes tweeted just before 4PM. Less than an hour later, she followed up with another jubilant status update. "We did it @darrellbrown WE DID IT POWERFULLY!!!!!! With out you this album wouldn't be what it is. You are quite magical. I got to make my favorite album w/ my best friend. Not many people in this world who can say that. I'm honored & blessed to know a heart like yours."

Rimes is likely the biggest advocate of using Twitter to connect directly with fans. In a tweet back in March, the singer first revealed that the upcoming album will be titled 'Spitfire,' also sharing a snippet of new music from the album via Twitter.

'Spitfire' is Rimes' last contractually obligated album in her deal with Curb Records, the label that launched her career. She later sued the label in an unsuccessful attempt to get out of a deal she claimed was unfair. “We had our ups and downs for sure,” the singer said in an interview in June. “I always had an open relationship with the head of the label. It’s definitely been a great ride.”

Despite that, the 'Blue' hitmaker denied that the album -- which comes closely on the heels of her last record, 'Lady & Gentlemen' -- is a rush job to fulfill her contract.

"I love it," she said of 'Spitfire.' "It’s super fun and heartbreaking and all the emotions in between."
