Lee Brice is living the life he had always dreamed about. The 'Love Like Crazy' singer is halfway through the new CMT Tour, which also features headliner Luke Bryan, Josh Thompson and CMT's 'Next Superstar' winner Matt Mason. The tour -- which has been selling out on most stops -- launched back in September and will continue on through mid-November, hitting arenas coast-to-coast.

"It’s been going awesome," Brice tells Taste of Country of the tour, which recently rolled through Bowling Green, Ky. "Luke has got such hip fans … young, fun and energetic -- and myself and Josh do, too. Everybody here is here to have a good time. It’s turning out to be that. It’s been awesome."

"It’s a joy to be out with [Josh and Luke] because I’ve been friends with them so long, especially Luke," Brice continues. "I guess I’ve known Luke for about 10 years. It’s like a dream … we’re buddies and we're playing music together on the road. This is the stuff you talk about like when you first move to Nashville … ‘One day we’re going to be touring together! One day we’re going to have songs on the radio!’ That’s why it’s so cool to be out here with them."

Just last week, Brice released his first single from his forthcoming album to country radio, 'Woman Like You.' The tune is receiving plenty of positive feedback from fans and peers, already showing signs of being another hit single in his career.

"It’s doing really good. I’m just lucky to have found it," Brice beams. "I think it’s going to do as good or better than anything I ever had … probably better and [climb the charts] faster, hopefully [laughs]! We’re just going to work hard, and just keep doing what we’re doing and have fun."

This week, Brice will spend a few days off of the road, which gives him just enough time to shoot a music video for 'Woman Like You' and to head back into the studio to wrap up work on the new album.

"If this single just screams and does great things [on the charts], the label might put [the album] out in the first part of the year," Brice says. "I’m struggling to get the thing done because I’ve been so busy … just a day off here and there. I’m hoping that it will be out by the first quarter. These songs [I'm cutting] are smashes! They are awesome! I am so excited about them. I’m trying to get four or five big ol’ No. 1’s in a row and change all of our lives."

In addition to his own music changing his life in the past couple of years, other artists such as Tim McGraw, Garth Brooks and most recently, the Eli Young Band, have taken songs penned by Brice up the country charts. This week, the Eli Young Band has Brice in the Top 3 with 'Crazy Girl.'

"We’re looking at two or three weeks [until that thing could hit the top]," Brice says with a hopeful grin. "That would be a cool Halloween present to be No. 1 ... we’ll see! Did you hear them sing ‘Crazy Girl’ tonight? It was so loud [laughs]! It was like Garth Brooks was singing ‘The Dance’ or something. It was crazy!"

The CMT Tour will pick back up on Thursday, Oct. 27 in Corbin, Ky. Click here for a complete list of dates where the tour will be stopping.
