This week's Song Suffragettes cover is the most challenging yet. Five #LetTheGirlsPlay singers pay tribute to the Eagles and the late Glenn Frey by performing a haunting acoustic version of "Hotel California." The harmonies are stunningly unique, yet true to the original spirit of this classic rock hit.

From left to right, Emily Rose, Lena Stone, Kalie Shorr, Carly Burruss and Emily Shackelton fill the stage and Listening Room with sweet vocals and on-point guitar playing. Shorr starts the song, and does the picking and strumming. Her wispy style makes this already dark lyric even moodier.

Stone brings the song to the first chorus before all five harmonize like a female version of the band. The Song Suffragettes close every Monday night show to a close with a cover of a well-known country, pop or rock hit. Previous covers have included songs by Miranda Lambert, the Dixie Chicks and Carly Rae Jepsen.

The #LetTheGirlsPlay movement began in response to the lack of women making an impact in country music. Every Monday five girls take the stage to play original songs, many that they've written together. They close each show in unison with a cover song. Taste of Country is a proud supporter of women in country music and the #LetTheGirlsPlay movement. Look for a new singer or songwriter to be spotlighted once each month.
