Lindsay Ell's "Criminal" video finds her everywhere from a jail cell to the back of a police car. Frankly, despite these rough circumstances the Canadian-born singer makes being bad look damn good.

This video for the song from her current album, The Project, showcases the fact that this guitar phenomenon is about to become a country music superstar. "Criminal" comes at the right time — the song recently topped both the Mediabase and BDS Canadian Country Radio charts, making Ell the first Canadian female artist to hit No. 1 on the Canadian Country airplay charts since 2008.

Lindsay Ell Proves She's a One-Woman RockStar With This "Criminal" Performance

“I am humbled and grateful to be the first female artist to have a No. 1 since 2008 on the Canadian Country radio charts," Ell says of the song, which is also currently approaching the Top 20 on the Mediabase and Billboard Country Airplay charts here in the U.S. "Sometimes you work so hard for the things you want, they feel surreal when they happen. Thank you country radio for believing in me and making this possible. Thank you to each and every fan for never giving up on me. I will try my best to continue to make you proud.”

Life just looks to continue getting better and better for Ell in the near future, as she continues on the road alongside Brad Paisley on the Weekend Warrior World Tour through April. From there, Ell will embark on Sugarland’s Still the Same Tour and will appear on select dates on Keith Urban’s Graffiti U World Tour this fall.
