Lindsay Ell has managed to pull off an upset victory over Ronnie Dunn in the Showdown, and will face a challenge from Dallas Smith today and over the weekend.

Ell's new single, "By the Way," uses banjo and mandolin to frame an uptempo track about letting a former lover know in no uncertain terms that you've moved on from the relationship. The fun track lets her show off her guitar chops, too, and it brought her fans out to vote in droves, pulling out a win over the latest from Dunn.

Smith's "Kids With Cars" is a very contemporary track that captures the nostalgia of a teenager with their very first car, and what that freedom means at that age. Produced by Joey Moi, it puts the former Default singer out on the edge of country rock, and should win him some new fans. But will it be enough to get past Ell's dedicated voting block?

Listen to clips of both Ell and Smith's songs and vote for your favorite here. You can vote once every hour until this Showdown ends on Monday at 8AM ET, so come back and vote often to be sure your artist wins. The winner of this matchup will face a new challenger on Monday.

Showdown Rules: The song with the most votes wins, and the winner goes on to face a new challenger in the next Showdown. Vote as much as once per hour online. If a song wins five Showdowns in a row, it will be retired into the Taste of Country Showdown Hall of Fame to allow for new songs to compete. Some songs will be considered for a second Showdown if voter turnout is healthy in a losing effort.
