Little Big Town kicked off an exclusive web video series with a cover of Bruno Mars' hit single 'Grenade' on The Boot. It's the first of a planned run of 'Scattered, Smothered and Covered' performances the popular quartet plans on releasing in the coming months.

It may seem like an unlikely choice, but darned if Kimberly Schlapan's lead vocals don't suit the song perfectly, and by the time bandmates join in for the chorus, you'd think it was theirs to begin with. So what genre do you think Little Big Town will take on next time? Heavy metal? Opera? Keep an eye on their Twitter account to be notified when the next installment comes out, reportedly later this month.

The band also announced  yesterday that they have been added to the list of performers for the 2011 CMA Music Festival. The four-day event runs starts June 9, and will be filmed for an ABC television special that will air later in the summer.
