After snagging the Single of the Year Award for 'Pontoon' at the 2012 CMA Awards, Little Big Town put on a groovy performance of the hit song. Let the motor boatin' jokes continue!

Unlike other performances at at tonight's (Nov. 1) CMAs, Little Big Town never actually set foot on the front of the stage at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

Instead, the group upped the groovy factor of the hit summertime song by standing in four separate boxes. The compartments were surrounded by a huge screen, and as they sang the song, different images projected in front of them. On a cool fall night in Nashville, they had to do something to keep with the sunny vibe of the song! Luckily, projecting images of bright colors, waves, beach balls and -- fittingly -- a pontoon boat did the trick.

Earlier in the night, host Brad Paisley joked that he met the band backstage and they explained to him what motor boating means. The hilarious country crooner acted scandalized. Later, when Little Big Town snagged the Single of the Year award, they blamed him for informing their moms about the salacious term on national television.

Always one to make a joke, Paisley introduced the band before they went on.

"By the way, Kimberly, your grandmother un-friended me on Facebook, and she wants you to call her," he quipped.

Fortunately, he didn't shake her confidence before she went on live national television!
