LoCash’s Chris Lucas could not be more excited about his baby girl, Remi McKenna, born March 21. Just how thrilled is he? He got a tattoo of her name …while on a tour bus.

Lucas turned the band’s bus into a tattoo parlor recently when he brought a tattoo artist on board, first to brand his shoulder with the title of their No. 1 hit, and also ink his forearm with simply “Remi.” Along with it came an adorable photo of Lucas’ baby girl, the tattoo front and center as he held her in his arms.

Remi is Lucas' and wife Kaitlyn’s second child after their five-year-old son, after whom Lucas said they struggled to conceive another child.

"Just when we thought it was unlikely and wasn’t going to happen, our little boy came to us and said he wanted a sister, so we told him to pray to God that night! Well, one month later, we were pregnant! We feel so blessed and are extremely excited,” he said.

“I Love This Life” recently became LoCash’s first No. 1 hit as artists, but Lucas says that’s not exactly the reason he got it tattooed on his person.

“I get a star tattoo for any song I write or sing that changes my life, and ‘I Love This Life’ definitely did,” he explains.

Lucas and bandmate Preston Brust co-wrote Keith Urban’s No. 1 hit “You Gonna Fly,” as well as Tim McGraw’s “Truck Yeah.” The duo are currently on their I Love This Life Tour, which runs through September. They’re also hitting Country on the River and WE Fest in Detroit Lakes, Minn., this summer.
