Back in March, restaurant goers filled Nashville hot-spot Roosters Texas Style BBQ and Steakhouse in downtown Nashville during the dinner hour, but they had an added bonus on their hands. While the packed house chowed down on brisket, pork, chicken, nachos and other BBQ favorites, television crews set up for the arrival of country duo LoCash Cowboys.

LoCash's Preston Brust and Chris Lucas, however, were not there to perform songs from their forthcoming album on R&J Records. Their mission was for each of them to finish off a 72 oz. butterflied sirloin steak for an episode of this season's 'Man v. Food Nation.'

With the timer set for 60 minutes, the show's host, Adam Richman, gave Brust and Lucas some tips on the most successful way to insure clearing their plates within the hour. In addition to the steak, the LoCash Cowboys also had to top off three very large side dishes: a baked potato, salad and two slices of Texas toast. Among those in attendance rooting for the duo were Vince Gill and his daughter.

Following the challenge, Brust and Lucas were quite full, but were thrilled at the opportunity to be on the popular show.

"It’s going to be cool to finally see the episode, but we were hurting after the challenge," Brust tells Taste of Country with laughter. "I never want to eat a steak again. When the steak came out of the kitchen, it was the scariest thing we'd ever seen [laughs]!"

"It really was," adds Lucas. "Would we eat that thing again? No. Would we get on 'Man v. Food Nation' again with Adam? Absolutely, because we had such a great time with him. It was such a cool environment!"

The LoCash Cowboys' episode of 'Man v. Food Nation' is set to air Wednesday, June 8 at 9:00PM ET on the Travel Channel.
