Earlier in the week (Tuesday, October 18), the LoCash Cowboys -- Preston Brust and Chris Lucas -- lent their time and talent to the Idaho Falls community welcoming home ceremony of the 116th National Guard unit in Idaho.

The soldiers who were returning home were treated to a meal and welcome home bags before the LoCash Cowboys took the stage with their high-octane performance. While the country duo has done many concerts and functions for the military in the past, this was the first time they have played at an event welcoming home our troops.

"It feels so good that we were able to do a show welcoming the troops home rather than sending them off," Brust tells Taste of Country. "It's nice to know they are coming home safe and that we were able to be part of that celebration."

The LoCash Cowboys are maintaining a busy touring schedule with upcoming stops in Tallahassee, Fla., Arkansas City, Ks., Owebsboro, Ky. and Fort Rucker, Ala. Next month, Brust and Lucas will join Montgomery Gentry and Ray Scott for the annual Country on the Beach in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, which benefits the T.J. Martell Foundation. The LoCash Cowboys are anticipating the release of a new single to country radio in the first part of 2012. In the meantime, fans can hear a tune the duo co-wrote on radio now. Brust and Lucas helped pen the new Keith Urban single 'You Gonna Fly' along with fellow singer-songwriter Jaren Johnston.
