LoCash's song "Shipwrecked" is a unique blend of sounds that the duo is really proud of — in their words, their producer "nailed it." The song is so important to them, it was a big part of Preston Brust's wedding, which the pair explained further during a stop at ToC Nights this week.

The song is featured on their new EP, which was released on Oct. 30. "Shipwrecked" was Brust's brainchild.

“I wrote it with a guy named Michael Tyler and we wrote it pretty quick," he says. "We wrote it in like 45 minutes, there wasn’t a lot of laboring over it. I knew all along I wanted it to sound like John Legend meets One Republic meets country music meets LoCash, so we just sent it over to Lindsey and asked him to follow that path somehow.”

Brust told their producer that's what he wanted, and he delivered. In fact, he "nailed it." The song was so special to the duo, and Brust's wife, that they used it in their recent nuptials!

“‘Shipwrecked’ was the one  my wife wanted to walk down the aisle to, and it was really awesome," Brust says, joking that Lucas had to sing it alone. “It was cool to see her walking down the aisle to our new music that isn’t even out yet. That was a cool feeling.”

The party didn't stop once the couple said "I do." The newly-married couple brought their guests to the George Jones Museum in Nashville for the reception, where they enjoyed Shipwrecked wine (naturally) and private tours of the museum while the couple took photos. The tours were led by Nancy Jones herself.

“We just had a good time on top of George Jones’ museum roof … It’s incredible. It overlooks the river and downtown skyline. It was a great feel that night,” Brust says, adding that his big day was "perfect."

The I Love This Life EP, which includes "Shipwrecked" and hit single "I Love This Life," is now available via digital music retailers.
