The Showdown: LoCash vs. Thompson Square

LoCash are on a seemingly unstoppable winning streak with their new single, "I Love This Life." The duo just won another Showdown round over Mo Pitney's latest, and now face a challenge from another duo, Thompson Square, and their new song, "Trans Am."

"I Love This Life" is an uptempo song that is a perfect addition to LoCash's high-energy live shows, and a great fit for a summertime release. "Trans Am" is a turn in a little bit of a new direction for the married duo of Keifer and Shawna Thompson, with a little less romance and lot more of an exciting rock edge. They say that's true of their entire upcoming album, which will be more aggressive than previous studio efforts. Will it move them on to another Showdown round, or will LoCash be back for another faceoff?

If a song wins five Showdowns in a row, it will be retired into the Taste of Country Showdown Hall of Fame to allow for new songs to compete. Some songs will be considered for a second Showdown if voter turnout is healthy in a losing effort.
