Loretta Lynn suffered a stroke in May, and as a result and a need to recover, canceled her remaining tour dates in 2017. The country legend also decided to push back the release of her forthcoming album, Wouldn't It Be Great, but she will be stepping out into the public eye soon.

In an interview with WSM Radio's Nashville Today, Lynn confirms that her first public appearance since her stroke will be at the Tennessee Motorcycle and Music Revival, which takes place at her ranch from Sept. 28 through Oct.1.

How She's Changed: Loretta Lynn Through the Years

“I’m gonna be there. I’m gonna ride in on a motorcycle, [of] course I’m not gonna be driving,” Lynn says. “I’m feeling good. I feel better than I should, really. I’ve taken a lot of time off, and I know everybody’s hollering about me being off so much, but, ya know, I just got lazy, quit singing for a little while.”

Lynn announced the event in June — just one month after suffering a stroke, but it wasn't clear she still planned to appear until recently. She's inviting motorcycle enthusiasts to her home for four days of live music, food trucks and camping, and they are encouraged to ride through some of Tennessee’s most beautiful scenery along the way.

“We’ve been having motorcycles here forever with the AMA, and all year long thousands of people riding in to camp at the Ranch,” Lynn previously said in a press release. “This is what we do here, and I’m so excited for this new one to happen.”
