Loretta Lynn has postponed her upcoming album until 2018, but assures fans she is back at home and “getting stronger every day.”

The country music legend turned to social media on Wednesday (July 12) to update her fans, sharing the following message to Facebook:

Thank you so much for all of your prayers, love, and support. I’m happy to say that I’m at home with my family and getting better by the day! My main focus now is making a full recovery so that I can get back to putting all of me into what I love, sharing my music with all of you.
My new album, Wouldn’t It Be Great, was originally scheduled to come in August this year. I now want to wait to release it next year because this record is so special for me. It deserves me at my best and I can’t wait to share it. I want to thank everyone for hanging in there with me. I am getting stronger every day and can’t wait to get back out there with all of you. I’m just letting everybody know that Willie ain’t dead yet and neither am I, and I can’t wait to see all of you on the road!

Country Stars Who Have Suffered Terrible Tragedy

Lynn has been recovering from a a stroke that occurred on May 4 at her Tennessee home. Doctors have predicted a full recovery. Lynn moved to a rehab facility in May but was forced to cancel two shows in July. Her brother, Herman Webb, recently shared that Lynn has been getting a lot better.

“She can talk, and Loretta told me that she thought she’s going to be okay,” Webb tells Closer Weekly. “Her left side was kind of paralyzed, but [she can get around by] herself now, she just has to use a walker.”

Lynn was unable to perform at her annual Fourth of July show, but taped a heartfelt message to the fans in attendance thanking them for their prayers and concern.
