This pair's union was Lorrie Morgan's fifth marriage, and Sammy Kershaw's fourth. It began in 2001 and ended when Morgan filed for divorce in October of 2007. Needless to say, It wasn't smooth sailing. In 2003, an argument turned physical, resulting in both parties obtaining a restraining order against the other. However, they would reconcile.

This wasn't the first high-profile relationship for Morgan. She was married to Keith Whitley when he died in 1989 and was in relationship with Dallas Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman for some time. She is currently married to Randy White.
