The Loving Mary Band are stepping to the front of the stage in a big way. A group that most recently served as Steven Tyler’s hand-chosen backing band will release Little Bit of Love on Oct. 28, and they’ve shared the title track with Taste of Country readers early.

The folk-rocking “Little Bit of Love” features the group’s one-of-a-kind harmonies and strong musicianship. You can practically hear them smiling as they sing a feel-good song that will have you obliging when they say, “throw up your hands and celebrate.”

Vocalist and bassist Rebecca Lynn Howard says “Little Bit of Love” is the first song they wrote as a group, and it speaks to the heart of who the band is.

“Love is the most powerful force on earth and we are just trying to spread a little bit more of it,” she says.

Marti Frederiksen and Suzie McNeil are two of the group’s other lead vocalists and instrumentalists (McNeil’s harmonica playing is spotlighted often during Tyler’s show). Elisha Hoffman, Sarah Tomek and Andrew Mactaggart round out the Loving Mary Band — a motley collection of accomplished musicians that have come together to form tight harmonies.

The Little Bit of Love album is their debut project, a 13-song mix of country rock and alternative. The Loving Mary Band has spent the summer playing with Tyler on his solo tour. The group played WE Fest in Detroit Lakes, Minn. in August, and backed him during his set at the Ryman Auditorium later in the summer.
