Lucas Hoge has just finished shooting a music video for his new single, "Boom Boom," and he's letting Taste of Country readers see it before anyone else.

Written by Ben Glover, "Boom Boom" is a fun, up-tempo take on contemporary pop-country, framed by a jaunty acoustic bed track, and Hoge says when he first heard it, he knew it was too good for him to pass it up.

"Everyone is always trying to find new ways to say 'I love you' and this song does that. It's just really cool and has such a good vibe to it," he states.

The Nebraska native worked with producer Matt McClure -- whose credits include Lee Brice's 2013 CMA Song of the Year, "I Drive Your Truck" -- on "Boom Boom." He hits the highway in a classic car for the song's video, in which he also finds romance on the open road.

"I can’t wait for everyone to see my 'Boom Boom' video, I had a blast making this," Hoge tells us. "It’s an upbeat, heartfelt love song that is one of my favorite tracks on the EP. The extra bonus was being able to incorporate my love for classic cars. 'Boom Boom' spotlights the '68 Shelby Cobra, one of my favorites."

He adds, "This has been a long time in the making and I’m truly excited to finally get to share my new music and video with you all, I hope you love it as much as I do."

"Boom Boom" is currently available on iTunes. For more information about Hoge, visit his official website, or follow him on Twitter or Facebook.
