Luke Bryan was just as frustrated as his fans were that his show in Southaven, Miss. was postponed due to weather on Thursday night. The singer took to Twitter to vent, before assuring his crowd he’d make good on a promise to play BankPlus Amphitheater.

Justin Moore and Jon Langston were to open the May 26 concert. The venue had begun to fill up after the BankPlus social media accounts encouraged everyone to come out for the show. At first the storms only delayed the show. But after several hours the venue announced the show would be moved to another day.

The new date for Bryan’s BankPlus Amphitheater show is July 11. It’s not clear who the opening acts will be, but all original tickets will be honored. The venue has been responsive to questions on Twitter and Facebook, telling many that refunds are available at point of purchase for those who can’t attend the new date.

While most amphitheater shows are labeled as "rain or shine," a severe storm or an incident that makes continuing with the show unsafe, can derail a show. Bryan will play festivals in Baton Rouge, La. and Daytona Beach, Fla. this weekend, before resuming the Kill the Lights Tour on June 2. Dustin Lynch and Little Big Town will join him for many of the shows.

Look for the singer to appear at CMA Music Festival as well. He's up for several CMT Music Awards, and will once again play the stadium shows the weekend of June 9.
