There's a special feeling nothing in the world can buy, when Luke Bryan passes around the turkey — err, hot dogs — and the pumpkin pie. Bryan says he and his family have a sort of unusual tradition when it comes to that big Christmas meal.

Though the Bryans used to pull out all the stops, the singer explains that they’ve just scrapped the whole thing and taken a new approach in recent years.

“Oh well, it’s funny, for years we always had these really elaborate Christmas Eve dinners, but now, we just cook chili dogs,” he tells Taste of Country, smiling.

There’s something to be said for spending less time making the meal and more time catching up and making memories with family, and Bryan certainly has a great one to enjoy the season with. In addition to his beautiful wife Caroline, Bryan has two young sons, Bo and Tate, and also took in his nephew, Til, whose parents (Bryan's sister and brother-in-law) both passed away.

Bryan recently expanded his Kill the Lights Tour into 2017, with new dates from February to March featuring Brett Eldredge. He performed his most recent single “Move" at the 2016 CMA Awards in early November and wrapped his eighth successful Farm Tour — albeit a bit rocky with an injury and weather concerns — prior to that. He’s slated to headline WE Fest next year in Detroit Lakes, Minn., Aug. 3-5.
