Rising country star Luke Bryan got the crowd on its feet at tonight's 2012 CMA Awards with a rousing performance of his current single, 'Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye.'

Dressed in his usual ball cap and jeans, Bryan delivered the sultry song -- essentially an homage to breakup sex -- with a lot of energy over an insistent backbeat and a bed of raucous guitars. The exuberant performance was topped off by a big guitar solo.

Bryan was also nominated tonight in the category of Album of the Year for 'Tailgates and Tanlines,' but the award went to his buddy, Eric Church, instead. Bryan and Church opened tonight's CMAs together, performing on Jason Aldean's brand new single, 'The Only Way I Know.'
