Earlier this week, Lance Corporal Nicole McCoy posted a YouTube video asking Luke Bryan to accompany her to the Marines Corps Ball in their home state of Georgia, and Bryan admits that he's still in a bit of shock over the invitation.

"I just found out about it," Bryan tells Taste of Country. "It's awesome. We are gonna do something nice. I don't necessarily know if I can go to the Ball with her. I think I may be working somewhere ... When I get home, though, I'm gonna check it out and see what we can do."

McCoy, who is married, has taken a good amount of teasing about inviting Bryan (since he's also married), but she says she extended the invitation because she and her family are all huge fans of his songs, according to WALB-TV.

Although Bryan is a married father of two, he says that his wife Caroline would likely agree with anything he chose to do to support the troops.

"It's a cool thing," he says of the invitation to the Albany, Ga. event. "It's so new, though, I don't know if I've even mentioned it to her [Caroline]. My wife, she obviously understands [fan admiration], and there is no bigger supporter of the troops than her. Whatever we can do to make their jobs easier and offer support, that's what we want to do."

Bryan is currently on Tim McGraw's Emotional Traffic Tour. His new album, 'Tailgates and Tanlines,' is set to be released on August 9. This fall, Bryan will headline a CMT Tour with Josh Thompson, Lee Brice and Matt Mason.
