Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have finally revealed that they are dating, but Shelton's buddy Luke Bryan seemingly still can't wrap his head around it.

The Voice co-stars confirmed their relationship on Wednesday afternoon (Nov. 4) through separate statements from their representatives, but when Bryan was walking the red carpet at the 2015 CMA Awards a few hours later, he seemed surprised when E! asked about it.

"Blake came out today and said that he is ..." the reporter from E! began, getting no further before Bryan quipped, "Blake came out today?" and pantomimed a shushing gesture.

When the reporter persisted, telling him that Shelton had confirmed the relationship, Bryan's eyes widened in shock. "Did he?!" he exclaimed, and then said, "He didn't come out about that! You're trying to trick me ... this is like when your wife makes you tell on yourself."

After assurances that the news had, indeed, been officially confirmed, Bryan couldn't help but slip in a comical dig toward his good friend.

"It can't be true, because there's no way Blake could ever score a girl like that," he said. "So it's not true. I mean, come on, people."

Stefani announced her divorce from Gavin Rossdale in August after 13 years, while Shelton and Miranda Lambert announced their divorce in July. The pair have been the subject of endless speculation virtually ever since, especially after they were seen together on Halloween looking more than friendly.

TMZ reports that Shelton and Stefani flew to Nashville together earlier this week, and while the couple confirmed their relationship, she did not attend the CMA Awards with Shelton.
