The fans at the Dallas Cowboys vs. Carolina Panthers game on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 26) got the added bonus of the one and only Luke Bryan shaking it on the 50-yard line this year, as he performed a medley of three of his biggest hits for the halftime show.

The show began with a dramatic video on the giant screen hanging above the stage before Bryan emerged from below and launched into “Kick the Dust Up,” off his most recent album, Kill the Lights. Fans clapped, jumped and sang along with enthusiasm, and the stage was aflame in bright orange LEDs as Bryan worked the stage, clearly having a blast during this unique opportunity. The artist moved into his 2011 hit “I Don’t Want This Night to End,” the second single from his record Tailgates and Tanlines, then finished it up with a classic, “Country Girl (Shake It For Me),” the first single from the same album.

Bryan made the show an event, and fans ate it up — especially his signature hip thrust. The Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders even made an appearance, dancing along to the tracks. The artist has been keeping busy even during the holiday season, performing most recently with Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild at the American Music Awards. The unique opportunity at the all-genre award show was the first live performance of his duet with Fairchild, “Home Alone Tonight,” which is also the first male-female duet to appear on any of his records. The artist won Favorite Male Vocalist in the country category at the awards, and was also nominated for Artist of the Year.
