Luke Bryan brought a dose of musical healing to some patients at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, adding a little Christmas cheer to their holiday season.

Bryan's appearance was part of the incredible Musicians on Call organization that brings musicians to patients' bedsides to help bring them peace through the joy of music. Bryan paid a visit to the hospital's patients and staff members, bringing them a gift basket as part of the Music Pharmacy program from Bose and Pandora that allows patients to stream music from their hospital beds.

"This is good for the soul here," Bryan says addressing the doctors and nurses who gathered to greet him. "Spread the love," he added, handing them a gift basket filled with headphones.

The country star brought an equal amount of cheer to some very happy patients, who were treated to an acoustic performance by the singer right at their bedside. Bryan sang some of his most notable songs for them, including as "Play it Again" and "Huntin,' Fishin' and Lovin' Every Day."

"He sings with love and that's why I'm emotional. It was very beautiful," one patient's mother tells the camera.

Bryan noted that participating in the Musicians on Call program was remarkably rewarding, "knowing that this is going on in so many hospital rooms across the country, and knowing that this is spreading so much love and joy and making so many people hopefully have a better day," he explained.

Many of Bryan's peers have participated in Musicians on Call as well, including Keith UrbanLady Antebellum and Sam Hunt.
