Maddie and Tae vs. Randy Houser – The Showdown

Thousands of people have voted for the last two Showdown song battles, and Maddie & Tae have won both by less than 50 votes -- total! Their song 'Girl in a Country Song' has helped create one week of the most contested Showdowns in history, and the girls will get another chance to keep the momentum rolling this weekend.

The female duo takes on a powerful new ballad from Randy Houser called 'Like a Cowboy.' The track is Houser's latest from the 'How Country Feels' album, and it's a return to what the singer found fame doing -- big, echoing vocal showcases. These songs couldn't be more different. Fans of both are sure to be moved vote early and often.

Showdown Rules: The song with the most votes wins, and the winner goes on to face a new challenger in the next Showdown. Vote as much as once per hour online. If a song wins five Showdowns in a row, it will be retired into the Taste of Country Showdown Hall of Fame to allow for new songs to compete. Some songs will be considered for a second Showdown if voter turnout is healthy in a losing effort.
