Only a week after the tragic shooting at the midnight screening of 'The Dark Knight Rises' in Aurora, Colo., another incident of gunfire has taken place at an entertainment event. A man was shot outside of or in the parking lot of the Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion in Raleigh, N.C. on Friday night (July 27) as concertgoers were exiting Jason Aldean's show.

Details are scarce, but according to local news outlet WRAL, the authorities said that most of the show's attendees were unaware of the shooting, nor were they in danger at the time the incident took place.

Officers surrounded a few cars exiting the parking lot, and the victim was transported to the hospital via ambulance.

As of press time, the cops are still interviewing witnesses about the shooting. Information about the shooter and the motive was not quite clear yet at first. The name and the condition of the victim have not been revealed, either.

Aldean issued a post today (July 28), thanking the authorities for their quick action and indicated that the incident had something to do with possible road rage. His post is below:

There's no excuse 4 things getting that heated in traffic leavin a show. I'm prayin 4 the fan who was injured and thanx to the Raleigh police for acting so quickly.

Taste of Country sends our best out to the victim.
