It was music that brought Martina McBride and her longtime husband, John, together back in the 1980s. And a touch of fate, too. Back when she was Martina Schiff from Kansas, the hopeful singer was hunting for a rehearsal space Wichita. As luck would have it, McBride had the perfect place to rent -- and it was only a matter of time before the two married. With Martina hoping to break into country music, and McBride looking to expand his studio engineering career, the newlywed couple moved to Nashville in 1989. John landed a job running sound for Garth Brooks, and he helped his blushing bride record the demo that landed her a record deal. The rest is history. With his salt-and-pepper hair and scruffy beard, McBride is easy on the eyes, but it's the way that he supports his wife's career that really appeals to the ladies.
