Martina McBride's 10-track Reckless album dropped Friday (April 29) through Nash Icon Records, and one of the tracks is a duet with another prominent country figure. Taste of Country Nights went to Nashville's Blackbird Studio and got McBride to open up about the song, which features Keith Urban.

When we chatted with the Kansas native about "Diamond," she expressed gratitude toward Urban, who took time out of his busy schedule to help her. He's a busy man, but who doesn't have time for Martina McBride?

“We had to do it separately, he was so busy. He was in L.A. and he was finishing up Idol and finishing up his record and all kinds of other stuff. He was really gracious to record it for me and send it to me," the brunette beauty gushes.

Talented songwriter Liz Rose is responsible for the song, and McBride had nothing but nice things to say about her. “She’s great. She’s very laid back, smart, just what you’d expect," she explains before admitting the two of them get off topic "all the time." Luckily there's usually a third person in the room that helps them stay on track.

As far as "Diamond" is concerned, Rose definitely stayed on track, and Urban helped give the track that extra oomph. Hear the song on the new album, which is available on iTunes now.
