Good news for Martina McBride fans: She tweeted early this morning, "Sorry to make you wait so long but here is my news: I am singing the National Anthem at the AFC Championship playoffs in Pittsburgh this Sunday!" The Pittsburgh Steelers play the New York Jets on Sunday, and kickoff is set for 6:30PM.

It comes as no surprise McBride was asked to sing the anthem, as she has been a good luck charm for the Steelers all season. The team's marketing manager, John Wodarek, says, "Martina is 2-0 and we hope she brings the magic to stay undefeated."

"Singing our National Anthem is always an honor," McBride says. "I will always remember singing the anthem in Pittsburgh two years ago for the playoff game. It's amazing to be there in the middle of all those football fans and all that excitement. I can't wait!"

Fans can tune in to CBS to see the performance broadcast live from Heinz Field on Sunday, Jan. 23 at 6:30PM ET.

McBride has a new record coming out some time later this year on Big Machine, her new label -- and she has been in the studio in Atlanta working on that as of late. McBride says the songs that she found for it are possibly the best of her career.
