Martina McBride joined forces this holiday season with DAV (Disabled American Veterans), a nonprofit group that provides a lifetime of support for our nation’s veterans, to raise awareness for veterans who are returning to civilian life.

McBride is dedicating her song “We’ll Pick Up Where We Left Off,” off her album Reckless, to bring awareness to America’s 22 million veterans. In a joint effort with DAV, veterans across the country received tickets to a concert on McBride's Love Unleashed Tour, where they got VIP treatment and even got to meet the singer.

"I am proud to partner with DAV this holiday season to use the power of music to bring everyone together to honor our veterans, their families, and their communities,” McBride says in a press release. “DAV provides important resources year-round to those who have served our country, helping them come home to a more stable environment.”

DAV's support helps more than 1 million veterans and their families each year. Additionally, the non-profit assists veterans to gain access to benefits as well as career opportunities.

“DAV is delighted to partner with Martina McBride to honor the service and sacrifices of America’s veterans in meaningful ways,” adds Marc Burgess, DAV National Adjutant. “Martina is known and respected for her love of family and country, and we are looking forward to working with her to raise awareness of the needs of our servicemen and women, and their families, over the coming months.”

McBride has extended her Love Unleashed Tour into 2017.
