Season 8 of The Voice came to a close on Tuesday night (May 19), and it went out with a bang. Stars across all genres of music came out to celebrate the ending of another season, including Kelly Clarkson. The Grammy winning artist joined Meghan Linsey on stage to perform Clarkson's new single, "Invincible."

Linsey is a former member of the duo Steel Magnolia, so she looked right at home sharing the stage with Clarkson. The pair took turns delivering lines of the empowering anthem and chimed in with rich harmonies through out the performance. Linsey and Clarkson's soulful voices meshed together seamlessly to create a sound, and show, as beautiful as they looked while doing so.

"What a dream come true! Thank you Kelly Clarkson! I cannot tell you what an honor it was to share the stage with you," Linsey tweeted of the performance.

Meghan Linsey placed second to Sawyer Fredericks for the title on Tuesday night, so the lyrics she sang during the finale may have fit perfectly: "Beat down on me, beat down like a waterfall / ‘Cause I can take on so much more than I had ever dreamed / So beat down on me, beat down like a waterfall / Cause baby, I am ready to be free."

"It’s been a really good experience, overall, and I definitely think it’s shown me what I’m made of and that anything is possible," Linsey says of her experience on the show. "Ultimately my goal was to have a second chance at having a career as a solo artist and I feel like I really have done what I set out to do."
