Miranda Lambert began the media tour to promote her new album ‘Four the Record’ with Matt Lauer and the ‘Today’ show crew on Tuesday morning. Before performing her current hit, ‘Baggage Claim,’ Lambert talked a bit about the big year she’s had.

Despite not being much of a morning person, Lambert was bright-eyed and chipper in a shimmery gold and black short sleeve top and black pants and heels. Lauer asked if she thought she could top a year that included numerous award show honors, a marriage to Blake Shelton and the success of an all-female country trio in Pistol Annies.

“I hope I can in the future, but for now I’m just enjoying the ride,” Lambert said, admitting it’d be difficult. The singer seemed more comfortable once behind the microphone singing her new song. She delivered an appropriately subdued rendition of the hit. This was morning television, after all.
