Robert Evans, the lucky photographer who was hired by Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton to shoot the country wedding of the year, has taken to his website to talk about the day he was honored to be involved with.

"It was a perfect Texas day in the middle of May for a wedding," Evans writes on his website. "Location: Don Strange Ranch near Boerne, Texas, a community located approximately 45 minutes from San Antonio. The weather was perfect, the environment beautiful, but the most special part of this day was the bride and groom; not because they are two of the biggest county music artists in country music today. No, what made this day so special was how real Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton really are."

The wedding ceremony was witnessed by 550 of Lambert and Shelton's friends and family, including a handful of famous faces who attended to show their support for the beautiful couple.

"People often ask me what was it like to shoot a celebrity wedding as if it should be different than photographing 'Normal People,'" Evans says. "Answer: There is no difference. What makes for great wedding pictures for me is the personal connection I have with my bride and groom and the time to create photographic magic. From the first moment I met each of them I was touched by their big hearts and contagious personalities, which made the privilege of photographing their wedding an absolute joy, not a job."

The pictures captured of Shelton and Lambert's special day will be published in Us Weekly magazine later this week, he reveals.

"I have to say that Miranda and Blake’s wedding images are really beautiful," Evans shares. "One big reason they have great wedding photographs -- besides their genuine down-to-earth personalities, which made my time behind my camera easy -- was the fact that they cared more about great wedding photography than old traditions. They took my advice and saw each other before the wedding and took all their photos before their nuptials, so after they said 'I do' and walked down the aisle, they could go do whatever they wanted, instead of spending time taking photographs. Spending time alone or spending more time with your guests is a smarter choice, especially when your normal human reaction after you kiss and travel down the aisle is 'Let’s go party and be with our friends and family.' A wedding is a celebration, and when the months of planning are over, it’s time to PLAY!"

The Us Weekly issue with the highly-anticipated pictures will hit stands on Thursday, May 19. This week, Lambert keeps the celebration going strong, as her current single, 'Heart Like Mine,' tops the country singles chart.
