Last weekend's episode of 'Austin City Limts' on PBS starred Miranda Lambert and actor turned singer-songwriter Jeff Bridges. While the two didn't collaborate, the audience appreciated both artist's unique talents during the 60-minute episode.

Six of the songs Lambert performed during the taping aired on the episode -- including her current single, 'Baggage Claim,' and 'Hell on Heels,' a Pistol Annies song she invited Angaleena Presley and Ashley Monroe to join her onstage for. She closed the show with 'Gunpowder and Lead' before a brief interview revealed a little about Lambert's background.

"I kind of knew when I started writing my first song that this was something that came natural to me and most things in life I had to work at," Lambert said. She went on to reveal that she felt this was her only shot at being successful, as she didn't do well academically in school and she wasn't cut out for other extracurricular activities. Her dad was surprised when at age 17 she finally asked him to teach her a few chords so she could write songs.

Bridges performed 'Fallin' and Flyin'' from the movie 'Crazy Heart' before opening his set to selections from his recent self-titled album, including 'Everything But Love' and 'What a Little Bit of Love Can Do.'
