Miranda Lambert is set to co-headline a brand new music festival that blurs the lines between country and rock more than ever before. Called the NiFi Festival and taking place at the Kentucky Speedway in Sparta, Kentucky, Lambert shares top billing with Green Day and Kings of Leon during the August 28-30 event.

The three-stage festival will also include country artists like Hank Williams Jr.Brantley GilbertJake OwenTrace AdkinsJoe NicholsSara EvansJosh TurnerJana KramerJon Pardi and Charlie Worsham alongside rockers like Weezer, Gov't Mule, Cloud Nothings, the New Pornographers, Moon Taxi and Bleachers.

The popularity of music festivals has exploded in recent years, and the promoters of NiFi Fest are looking to become a premiere event that combines the fanbases of country and rock.

“We’ve looked at the market and there are like 1,000 festivals in the U.S.,” NiFi CEO Sean Knight tells Billboard. “But if you talk about the Tier 1 [fests], there’s like 10 that have the wherewithal to put on a show at that highest level. We knew out of the gate we didn’t want to be a mediocre festival, or a small one."

But even by catering to both the country and rock crowds, putting on a festival is a massively expensive proposition, which the promoters say they're ready for.

“We came in with eyes wide open," NiFi's chief strategy officer Howard Mergelkamp explains. "We understand the economics of a first year, second year, third year, when you do make money, and how you make it, and we planned for it. We’re hoping that we bring something special to the market and to the regions that we’re going into."

Featuring a range of camping options and vendors, tickets for the festival start at $245 for general admission and rise to $795 for VIP treatment. Plus, there's even option called the "Headliner Pass" that's full of limos and luxury RVs that's rumored to cost around $30,000 for six people, if you're that sort of festival-goer.

NiFi is just one of many festival appearances for Lambert this summer, and then she'll start her Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars tour Sept. 25, bringing along an all-girl cast that includes Ashley Monroe, RaeLynn, Clare Dunn and Courtney Cole.
