She already has a handful of platinum albums to her name, but Miranda Lambert is celebrating another platinum career cornestone today. The 'Fastest Girl in Town' singer has passed the one million followers mark on her official Twitter account!

"I woke up to realize I have 1million followers today!:)" the grateful singer tweeted Tuesday (June 5). "Thanks y'all ! I guess I should start tweeting crap that matters : )."

Lambert didn't just pass a million followers -- she sailed by. At the time of posting she had 1,000,534 fans on the social media site. Lambert recently scored her third No. 1 single with 'Over You,' the second single from her most recent chart-topping album, 'Four the Record.' Fans and industry insiders alike praise Lambert for her refreshing presence in country music.

"Everything Miranda Lambert touches right now turns to gold -- between her solo albums and the Pistol Annies," says John Hamlin, CMT Senior Vice President, Music Events and Talent (quote via Billboard). "She has her finger on the atmosphere of country music right now."

The reigning ACM and CMA Female Vocalist of the Year will take a brief hiatus from her main gig on Wednesday night to take the stage with her all-female trio during the 2012 CMT Music Awards.
