Miranda Lambert will be making another appearance on 'The Voice' during Season 6, but this time, she won't be helping husband Blake Shelton. In fact, Lambert has signed on to be a mentor for Shelton's rival judge on the show, Shakira.

The upcoming season 'The Voice' is going to make things competitive between the husband and wife pair. Lambert started out performing with Shelton's finalist, Dia Frampton, in Season 1. She then mentored Shelton's team during Season 2, but now, she's crossing over to Team Shakira.

ToC has speculated on this for months, but the confirmation came just this week (Jan. 7) from the show's official Facebook page.

"Shakira announces Miranda Lambert as her team's mentor heading into Season 6! Yes, you read that correctly. She is not messing around in her return," 'The Voice' reveals.

Shelton is a little worried about his wife's competition in the upcoming season -- and he should be! Lambert means business. “I have to go home and investigate, and then I’ll call [Shakira]: ‘I found this out. You need to do this.'" Lambert says of her mentoring role.

Of course, Shelton has won three of the five total competitions since the show started, so he's the one to beat. Does Shakira have what it takes now that she's got a country powerhouse on her side? Season 5 of 'The Voice' just wrapped up with an Adam Levine win, but Season 6 is not far off -- it airs Feb. 24 on NBC.
