After successful debut albums, a number of country music stars are turning their attention to the all-important follow-up. There's a lot of stress and mythology around the sophomore album. Some say it's a chance to slump, while others use it as an opportunity to prove the doubters wrong. Whose upcoming sophomore albums are you most looking forward to?

While there is no firm information about release dates for any of the five artists listed below, all have either finished releasing singles from their debuts, or have nearly exhausted those options. Pistol Annies were favorites of critics in 2011 and 2012. The Band Perry released 'If I Die Young.' Can either trio top those efforts?

Also included is Scotty McCreery -- who is delivering a Christmas album in October -- as well as Thompson Square and Hunter Hayes. These six make up the hottest of the country newcomers. If there is another sophomore album you're looking forward to more than those listed, tell everyone about it in the comments section below.
