British country-rock act Mumford & Sons overcame stiff competition to win Album of the Year at the 2013 Grammy Awards.

The group beat out the Black Keys, Fun., Frank Ocean and Jack White with their album 'Babel,' -- featuring the single 'I Will Wait' which the group released to country radio.

Adele presented the award, which the band members said they didn't expect. They said it was even sweeter to receive it from a fellow British artist, claiming they had no idea they would win.

"There's a few of us out there," they noted. "We're very grateful to all of this country and the Grammy Foundation for being so welcoming to us and our music."

'Babel' sold more than 600,000 units upon its debut in September 2012, and was ultimately the fourth-best-selling album of 2012.
