The 2018 Taste of Country Music Festival is a few short weeks away, and it's time to start packing for the occasion. Located at picturesque Hunter Mountain in Hunter, N.Y., the three-day festival will be held on June 8-10.

Some of the biggest acts and most promising up-and-coming stars in country music join a roster that includes headliners Eric ChurchFlorida Georgia Line and Sam Hunt. As a result, ToC Fest promises a fun-filled weekend of country music.

The music and camping festival isn't for the faint of heart, though. Here are eight items for festivalgoers to bring along to any music festival to make sure they're prepared for whatever the weather may be:

Sunscreen

New York summers can be brutally hot when the sun is shining bright. Three days spent outside without sunscreen can be more painful than the ringing in one's ears after standing in front of the speakers during your favorite artist's set. Be wise and lather up!

Earplugs

Speaking of ears ringing, with three days of non-stop music, your ears will surely hurt if not protected. While some earplugs work better than others, Hearos High-Fidelty Ear Plugs are the most affordable option at $14. So if you lose them on the festival grounds, it's not the end of the world. For those with a bigger budget, try musician favorite Flare ISOLATE Pro. At $70, the brand promises the best musical experience and also works well for sleeping. If you're looking to sleep comfortably and drown out that snoring neighbor from the tent next to you, these earplugs will be worth the money.
